Summer Update - 2012

It has been a summer of hot music at Telegraph!

More acclaim continues to pile on
Radiation City and their fantastic EP Cool Nightmare. They were recently featured in Time Magazine as one of 11 Great Bands You Don’t Know (But Should). Congrats to Rad City! Both Cool Nightmare and their full length The Hands That Take You were both mastered at Telegraph.

The Slants asked Adam to master their latest full-length, The Yellow Album. It’s an infectious elecro-rock record with hooks for days! Immediately after the album was released in June The Slants embarked on a nation wide tour that included playing Sand Diego Comic Con (comics=heroin?). The Yellow album was produced by The Slants, mixed by Scott Craig at Ripcord Studio.

Telegraph was chosen to master the
Tender EP from Wax Fingers. Tender is a hypnotic mix of frenetic rhythms and angular guitar ninjitsu. The EP has received critical praise from Prefix, My Old Kentucky Blog, Right Chord Music, The Owl, and The Wild Honey Pie. Check out the excellent and unsettling video for the single Bauhaus from director Inger Klekacz. Tender was recorded and mixed by Pete Bosack, with drum tracking by Jason Powers at Type Foundry.

Northeast Northwest brought their sophomore album Where We Come Apart to Telegraph. NENW has been steadily gaining momentum since the release last year of the Direction of Arrival EP (also mastered at Telegraph). Most recently they were spotlighted by The Deli Magazine after winning a reader’s poll. Sweet folk-rock cannot be denied! Where We Come Apart was mixed by Lee Howard at Mystery Machine Studios.

Telegraph mastered
The White Flags’ debut album House on Fire. It’s a rock record that blends slick glossiness with raw emotion, a killer combination! House on Fire was co-produced by Grammy-winning producer Happy Perez with additional mixing from Robert McDavid. The White Flags were recently asked by American Idol finalist Bill Dorsey to produce a track on his upcoming album Marathon!

Worth asked Adam to master his debut solo album Six Foot Soul. Worth has appeared as a vocalist and multi-instrumentalist with his relentlessly touring band NIAYH, and members of NIAYH and Medicine for The People both appear on the excellent, genre-bending Six Foot Soul. Check out the video for the lead single, Caught Up. Six Foot Soul was mixed by Justin Phelps at Cloud City Studios.

Adam had the pleasure of mastering
Pona Congo for Congolese artist and composer Patrick Seraya. Wonderful music, and definitely off the beaten path! Pona Congo was recorded and mixed at Jackpot Recording by Larry Crane.

Telegraph also worked on projects this summer for
Foreign Talks, Wrye, Yaquina Bay, Killa 87, Jet Force Gemini, Child Children, DJ Luna C, Leaves Russell, Aranya, and many more!

Thanks to all the artists who worked with Telegraph this summer. Onward to autumn!

Enough writing, back to work...
