Terms And Conditions:
Booking mastering is a contract between you, the client, and Telegraph Audio, LLC. Changes to this agreement must be approved by both parties in writing prior to mastering. Payment in full is due upon completion of the mastering process, and before delivery of the master(s), unless other arrangements have been made in writing.
Mastering is priced at a flat rate for your convenience: $60/track. Telegraph Audio reserves the right to adjust that rate for exceptionally long or short tracks. Example: A 70 minute album that only has 2 45-minute movements will be charged at an adjusted rate. Similarly, exceptionally short tracks (under 2 minutes) will be adjusted so the rate more reasonably reflects the work needed to master.
Revisions are free before final delivery, up to and including a number of revisions that are 'within reason'. After that point Telegraph Audio may charge for subsequent revisions at an hourly rate ($120/hr). Whether or not Telegraph Audio chooses to charge after a significant number of revisions is completely within the direction of Telegraph Audio, and the client hereby agrees to pay for any revisions if it is decided billing for said revisions is required. Revisions after final delivery will always be charged as new masters. New mixes of already mastered songs are not revisions and will be charged as new masters.
Alternate versions/a-capellas/instrumentals/etc. will be charged at a rate of $20/track only if no substantive changes have been made from the originally supplied track. If substantive changes have been made those tracks will be billed as new tracks. It is wholly within the discretion of Telegraph Audio to define 'substantive changes', and Telegraph Audio will do so on a track-by-track basis.
Approvals for unattended sessions are handled via our specialized software for approvals. When your masters are ready you can download the player at http://player.telegraphmastering.com.
For attended sessions billing begins at the scheduled session time. Failure to appear or to supply all necessary project assets at the scheduled session start time, or cancellation with less than 24 hours notice, will incur a 2 hour studio charge (at $120/hr). Materials, including any recording media or physical documentation, shall be returned to the client upon final payment. Telegraph Audio is not responsible for items left after the completion of mastering services. All information pertaining to the mastering process including EQ, dynamics, encoding and any other technical settings are the exclusive property of Telegraph Audio and will not be released.
Telegraph Audio acts only as the audio editor and mastering service provider for the client’s recorded product. Telegraph Audio does not assume any liability for talent, payroll, intellectual property rights, royalties, nor for any infringement of any rights by the client, nor does it assume any responsibility for other costs in the recording, production, or manufacturing process. Telegraph Audio further assumes that any intellectual property or performance being processed or reproduced has been fully cleared by the client and shall work with all supplied materials at the client's direction in the full assumption that the client is legally entitled to do so.
